Honest and transparent information for EU Labour Migrants
Monday 22 September 2025
On 22 September, I, Burcu, have the honour of speaking on behalf of Uitzendbureau Flexibel at the Interreg EUM POWER kick-off event in The Hague, as a panellist.
A key theme of this event is how we can better inform and support EU labour migrants in their integration. This subject is close to our hearts, because we see every day how important clear information and proper guidance are – not only for the future of migrants but also for the companies where they work.
The problem with the traditional approach
Many staffing agencies choose to provide accommodation for their employees and place them directly with a client. At first glance, this may seem efficient, but in practice it often has drawbacks. Workers feel dependent and sometimes even isolated. They arrive in a new country but end up “like a fish out of water”. For basic questions, they are often referred to paid advisors.

Our vision: no dependency, but trust
At Flexibel, we take a different approach. We deliberately do not provide accommodation – not a single bed – and yet more than 1,700 EU labour migrants currently work with us. This shows something important: people choose to stay with us not out of dependency, but out of trust.
Our priority is guidance. We take the time to answer their questions, communicate clearly, and build a safe foundation together with our employees.
Why guidance pays off
The faster an employee feels at home and secure, the faster productivity rises. It’s simple: well-supported labour migrants are happier, more loyal, and more successful at work. That benefits not only the worker but also the companies we support. A true win-win.
More than numbers
This is more than just job placement. It’s an investment in people, trust, and the future. By offering EU labour migrants guidance, we support integration while also easing the pressure on companies that urgently need staff. Through clear information for labour migrants in the Netherlands, we ensure that they are not dependent, but stronger in their jobs. As a transparent staffing agency, we show that business success and social responsibility can go hand in hand.
Transparency as a foundation
Our approach is built on three pillars:
- Transparency: honest and clear information without hidden agendas.
- Fast communication: short lines, clear answers, and always accessible.
- Genuine attention: we see the person behind the worker and build lasting relationships.
This is exactly what sets us apart. That is why so many labour migrants voluntarily choose Flexibel and continue to work with us long-term.
Working towards a fairer labour market
At the event, I will join fellow panellists Rosa Groen, Rosalie van den Berg, Harm Botje, and Willem van Nieuwkerk. Together, we will share insights and experiences on how to make the labour market fairer and more humane. We are proud to contribute step by step to a fairer, more transparent, and more humane labour market – not by creating dependency, but by building trust and providing people with the information and guidance they deserve.
